Glenn MacGrath, Australian pacer who was famous for disciplined bowling holds record of most wickets in Men's Cricket ODI World Cup.

MacGrath took 71 wickets in 39 world cup matches he played with an avg of 18.19, with best bowling figures of 7/15.

Two Sri Lankan players, great spinner Muthiah Muralidaran & pacer Lasith Malinga also top the list with 68 wickets in 40 matches and 56 wickets in 29 matches viz.

Muthiah holds record of most number of test wickets.  He took 800 test wickets in 133 matches he played with an avg of 22.72.

Most Wickets by Indian in WC

When we consider only Indian players, Zaheer Khan leads the table with 44 wickets in 23  innings he played with an avg of 20.22 in World Cup matches.

Javagal Srinath is on 2nd position with 44 wickets in 33 innings, Shami on 3rd who took 31 wickets in just 11 innings with avg of 15.70!!
