Konkan Railway Corporation Recruitment 2023: Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), has announced a golden opportunity for job seekers. The Konkan Railway is hiring Engineering Graduates and Draughtsman, totalling 24 vacancies across six different disciplines ranging from Civil, Mechanical, and Structural Engineers. The selection of the candidates is based on the performance in the walk-in interview.

In order to apply for Konkan Railway Corporation Recruitment 2023, candidates who meets the requirement must register themselves for the interview at the venue. The walk-in interview will be conducted from 14 December 2023 to 01 January 2024. Registration for the interview will be carried out from 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs in the morning at the same venue of the interview.

Konkan Railway Corporation Recruitment 2023 Age Limit

The Age Limit to apply for Konkan Railway Corporation Recruitment 2023 is as per given below;

The candidates should not be more than prescribed age as on 01/11/2023.

The age relaxation of 3 years to OBC candidate will be given if applying against post reserved for OBC and 5 years to SC candidates will be given if applying against post reserved for SC category. Age relaxation for Ex- servicemen is discretionary.

Salary Konkan Railway Corporation Recruitment 2023

After selection in Konkan Railway Corporation Recruitment 2023 the candidate will get monthly remuneration as per below table;

In addition to the basic pay,

1. a) House Rent Allowance and Conveyance allowance as per the rates and City classification prescribed in the pay commission will be paid subject to the condition that accommodation and vehicle are not provided.
2. b) Dearness allowance on basic pay will be paid at the rate applicable at the time of the date of joining.

In addition, selected candidate will get mobile phone allowance, Health Benefits, Travel Facilities.

Konkan Railway Recruitment 2023: Educational Qualification & Experience Required

Candidate must have Educational Qualification & Experience Required as per mentioned in the notification.

Sr. Design Engineer

Minimum Qualification

Essential: Graduate in (Civil Engineering) from recognised (AICTE) University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

Desirable: ME/M Tech (Structural Engineering/Earthquake Engineering) from recognised (AICTE) University

Work Experience

Minimum 6 years’ experience in structural design of Bridges / Viaducts / flyovers for Railway/Road/Metro loading based on Indian Standards (sound knowledge of IRS, IS, IRC and other relevant codes related to design) / International Standards (EURO, BS & AASTHO) & basic design philosophy.

Preference shall be given to Candidate having experience in design of superstructure comprising of steel structures, composite structures, segmental bridges, U-girder, I-girder, balanced cantilever box girder with pre-stressed concrete technology and should be proficient in use of various Structural Design software’s (like STAAD, Auto- Cad, MIDAS, LUSAS, SOFISTK etc.

Sr. Project Engineer / Inspection

Minimum Qualification and eligibility.

Graduate in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with not less than 55%marks from recognized (AICTE) University. The Candidate shall possess NDT Level II – ASNT Certification.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years experience of working in a PSU organisation or in a reputed Public/Private limited company. This shall be inclusive of;

1. three years are in QA/QC activities for inspection of fabrication/launching of bridges in Railway, Metro and Road projects or a minimum three years experience in Mechanized welding of heavy structural Steel – preferably Railway / Road Bridges.
2. Ability to understand and prepare WPS, Fabrication methodologies and related procedures involved in welding / fabrication of heavy structural steel.

Selection process

1. The candidates shall arrive at the time and venue and get registered with the nominated KRCL official for the walk-in interview as indicated. Group Discussion (GD) or any other elimination round, can be introduced depending on the number of candidates and those candidates who get through in the elimination round will be called for interview.
2. The candidate will be interviewed by a nominated Committee and the selection will be finalized on merit based on the performance in the interview, qualification and post qualification experience gained by the Candidate.
3. The decision of the Nominated Committee of KRCL shall be final and binding.

Period of Contract

The period of contract will be initially for a period of one year, extendable further for the required period based on satisfactory performance, mutual consent as well as requirement of KRCL, if any. Remuneration may be revised from the 2nd year onward as decided by the Corporation.

2. The contractual service is required for various projects except USBRL Project of Konkan Railway. Selected candidate can be posted and transferred at anytime, anywhere to the project sites during contract period based on the requirement of KRCL.
