PM YASASVI Scheme 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold permanent residency in India.
Eligible candidates fall into categories including OBC, EBC, DNT SAR, NT, and SNT.
Candidates must have completed the eighth grade to be eligible for tenth-grade examinations in the 2023 session.
The annual income of the candidate’s parents should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
Students applying for ninth grade must have been born between April 1, 2004, and March 31, 2008.
Likewise, students applying for the eleventh grade must meet the same birth date criteria.
The scholarship is open to all genders.

PM Yasasvi Scholarship Distribution and Application Process

PM YASASVI Scheme 2024: The PM YASASVI scholarship program is primarily aimed at OBC, Nomadic, and semi-nomadic tribes, and DNT students. The eligibility requirements are outlined comprehensively in the application process. Scholarships are awarded at two levels: for students in ninth and eleventh grades. The distribution of scholarships is determined by the state or union territory of the applicant’s residence. The selection process involves a written examination known as the YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST 2024.

Scholarship Distribution in 2023

In 2023, the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment adopted an alternative distribution method for the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI). Scholarships were awarded solely based on merit without the requirement of an entrance exam. The decision was made to accommodate students’ convenience within the constraints of time.

PM Yasasvi Yojana Fund Allocation

A substantial amount totaling ₹32.44 Crore was allocated for Pre-matric Scholarships, and ₹387.27 Crore was earmarked for Post-Matric Scholarships to States/Union Territories (UTs).

The eligible students need to follow the steps below to fill out the registration form for the YASASVI Scholarship.

Open the official website of the NSP Portal.
The homepage of the website will appear on the screen.

Click on the New Registration Tab from the homepage.
Read the guidelines and mark the declaration.
Enter the mobile number to get an OTP.

Now complete the personal and other facts that have been requested of you.
After selecting the submit tab.
To complete the registration procedure, enter the OTP that you received.
Open the application form using the registration ID and password.

PM YASASVI Scheme 2024 Benefits

The PM YASASVI scheme offers a plethora of benefits:

The scholarship scheme maintains transparency and conducts tests to international standards, assessing students’ morals post-qualification.
Benefits are extended to students in ninth and eleventh grades.
Ninth-grade students receive an annual stipend of Rs. 75,000, while eleventh-grade students receive Rs. 125,000 annually.
