Festive Special Trains

In a festive gesture, Indian Railways is operating nearly 500 Festive Special Trains across the country, specifically tailored for Diwali, Chhath, and Puja festivities. These special trains, managed by Central Railway (CR), aim to enhance passenger convenience during the peak festive season.

To accommodate the surge in demand, Indian Railways has added approximately 26.00 lakh extra berths through these festival trains, supplementing the regular services. Central Railway alone has created around 7.50 lakh additional berths, providing more travel options and easing the strain on existing trains.

Festival Special Trains: Pune to Danapur

Central Railway has decided to run 8 additional Puja/Diwali/Chhath festive special trains between Pune-Danapur to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details are as under:

Pune-Danapur Bi-weekly Superfast special-4 trips (20 LHB coaches)

Train No. 01105

Details: Pune-Danapur Superfast Bi-Weekly special will leave Pune at 06.30 hrs on Monday and Thursday i.e.  13.11.2023 and 16.11.2023 (2 trips) and reach Danapur at 11.40 hrs next day.

Train No. 01106

Details: Danapur- Pune Super-fast Bi-Weekly special will leave Danapur at 13.30 hrs on Tuesday and Friday i.e.  14.11.2023 and 17.11.2023 (2 trips) and arrive Pune at 19.45 hrs next day.

Halts: Hadapsar, Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn. Buxar and Ara.

Train Composition: 20 LHB Coaches such as: Six AC 3-Tier, Twelve AC 3-Tiers Economy Class, one Luggage cum Guard’s Brake Van and one Generator Car.

Pune-Danapur Super-fast special-4 trips (16 ICF coaches)

Train No. 01449

Details: Pune-Danapur Superfast Special will leave Pune at 06.35 hrs o­n 18.11.2023 and 25.11.2023 (2 trips) and arrive Danapur at 11.40 hrs next day.

Train No. 01450

Details: Danapur- Pune Superfast Special will leave Danapur at 13.30 hrs o­n 19.11.2023 and 26.11.2023 (2 trips) and arrive Pune at 19.40 hrs next day.

Halts: Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn. Buxar and Ara.

Train Composition: 16 ICF Coaches such as: Four Second Class Seating, Twelve General Second Class and including 2 Guard’s Brake Van.

4 Additional Festival Special Trains between Panvel and Nanded

Railways will run 4 additional festival specials between Panvel (Mumbai) and Hazur Sahib Nanded to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Diwali/Chhath/Puja festival. The details are as under:

Train No. 07616

Details: Festival special will leave Panvel at 13.20 hrs o­n 11.11.2023 and 18.11.2023 (Saturdays) (2 trips) and arrive Hazur Sahib Nanded at 04.00 hrs next day.

Train No. 07615

Details: Festival special will leave Hazur Sahib Nanded at 23.00 hrs on 10.11.2023 and 17.11.2023 (Fridays) (2 trips) and arrive Panvel at 12.20 hrs next day.

Halts: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Nagarsol, Aurangabad, Jalna, Partur, Selu, Parbhani and Purna

Train Composition: 20 ICF Coaches as follows- one AC 3-Tier, Eleven Sleeper Class, 8 General Second Class including Guard’s Brake Van.

Festival Special Trains between Hubballi – Bidar – Yesvantpur

Railways will run festival specials between Hubballi – Bidar – Yesvantpur to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Diwali festival. The details are as under:

Train No. 06505

Festival special will leave Hubballi at 14.30 hrs on 10.11.2023(Friday) (1 trip) and arrive Bidar at 12.15 hrs on third day.

Train No. 06506

Festival special will leave Bidar at 14.30 hrs on 14.11.2023(Tuesday) (1 trip) and arrive Yesvantpur at 04.00 hrs next day.

Halts: From Bidar side – Humnabad, Kamlapur, Kalaburagi, Shahbad, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Manthralayam Road, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram Hindupur, Gauribidanur, Yelahanka, Yesvantpur, Ikram, Arsikere, Davangere, Haveri and Hubballi

Note : Above halts till Yesvantpur for Train no 06506 & till Hubballi for Train no 06505

Train Composition: 16 ICF Coaches as follows- one AC 2-Tier, Three AC 3-Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class including Guard’s Brake Van.
