Jeevan Pramaan Patra
Securing your monthly pension is crucial, and one way to ensure its uninterrupted flow is by submitting your ‘life certificate’ or Jeevan Pramaan Patra. This needs to be done in November, and you have two options for submission – either visit your pension-disbursing authorities (PDAs) in person or opt for the online method.
Introduced in 2014, Jeevan Pramaan is a digital service equipped with biometric technology, designed to simplify and enhance the convenience of life certificate submissions for pensioners in India. Stay on top of your pension game by ensuring a timely and hassle-free submission of your Jeevan Pramaan Patra.
Digital Life Certificate (DLC)
For those who prefer the online route, the Jeevan Pramaan Patra can be conveniently generated digitally. The beauty of this digital certificate is its 12-month validity from the last submission, giving pensioners flexibility. Some may have already submitted their certificates online, while others might still be in the process.
The Central Government has facilitated various avenues for submitting life certificates, and one such option is the digital life certificate, known as Jeevan Pramaan. It can be easily generated online or through a mobile app, offering a streamlined approach for pensioners. This is especially beneficial for the elderly or those facing travel challenges.
Digital Life Certificate Submission Time
If you’ve digitally generated your certificate, it’s crucial to check the status of your submission. The government has set specific timelines for submission based on age. Individuals aged 80 and above can submit it from October 1 to November 30, 2023, while those under 80 have a submission window from November 1 to November 30, 2023.
Jeevan Pramaan Patra: Check Status Online
Here’s a simple guide to help you check status of your digital life certificate:
Once you’ve successfully generated your digital life certificate, you’ll receive a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number. This message will include your Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID. You can also find this ID on your screen after completing the process.
To download your Digital Life Certificate (DLC), go to the official website https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ppouser/login.
It’s important to provide accurate information during the DLC generation process to avoid rejection of your Jeevan Pramaan certificate. If any details are incorrect, it’s best to generate a new one with the correct information and biometrics. If you face any issues, contact your PDA for assistance.
You don’t need to physically submit the DLC to the bank, post office, or PDA. The certificate will be available to you electronically.
If you encounter problems like non-generation of DLC or rejection by the PDA, you can file a complaint with your respective PDA. For service-related issues with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) or banks, check their websites for detailed instructions and contact information.”
