Mumbai Braces for Cooler Days Ahead: Temperature Drop in the Forecast

Coldest Night This Season

Mumbai experienced its coldest night this season on Wednesday, as reported by the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD). The Santacruz observatory recorded a nighttime temperature of 19.4 degrees Celsius, which is one degree below the usual. Alongside this, the maximum daytime temperature also stayed on the lower side at 32.8 degrees.

This marks the second instance this year where the temperature in Mumbai dropped below 20 degrees. The first occurrence was on November 30, when the temperature dipped to 19.7 degrees. According to IMD officials, the trend indicates a gradual drop in temperatures over the upcoming week.

Additionally, the Coastal observatory at Colaba noted a minimum temperature of 21.5 degrees and a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees. These observations collectively suggest a noticeable cooling trend across Mumbai.

Mumbai Weather: Cooler Days Ahead

IMD officials have hinted that Mumbaikars can expect the temperatures to dip further in the coming days. This shift in weather, bringing cooler temperatures, is likely to persist over the next week.

These unexpected showers contribute to the city’s unique climate variations this time of the year.
