PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stones for AMRUT Projects In Maharashtra On Jan 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for multiple development projects in Solapur, Maharashtra, on January 19. The event, scheduled for around 10:45 am, will witness the initiation of eight Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) projects in the state, collectively valued at approximately Rs 2,000 crore.

During the program, PM Modi will dedicate over 90,000 houses completed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Maharashtra. This significant milestone reflects the government’s efforts in providing affordable housing solutions, contributing to the realization of the Housing for All mission.
Raynagar Housing Society: Benefiting Diverse Occupations
In addition to the PMAY-Urban dedication, the Prime Minister will dedicate 15,000 houses of the Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur. The beneficiaries of this housing initiative include handloom workers, vendors, powerloom workers, rag pickers, bidi workers, drivers, and others. This demonstrates a targeted approach to address housing needs across various occupations.

PM-SVANIDHI: Empowering Entrepreneurs
PM Modi will kickstart the distribution of the first and second instalments to 10,000 beneficiaries of PM-SVANIDHI in Maharashtra during the event. This move aligns with the government’s efforts to empower street vendors, encouraging entrepreneurship and economic self-sufficiency.
Inauguration of Atal Setu: Connecting Mumbai and Navi Mumbai
Recalling the recent milestones, on January 12, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Atal Setu, the longest sea bridge in the country, connecting Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. With a length of 21.8 km, including a 16.5 km sea-link, this project underscores the government’s commitment to infrastructure development. The bridge, inaugurated at a cost of Rs 17,840 crore, symbolizes connectivity and progress.
