To address this challenge, railway employees and officials have implemented a solution – ‘mega block on Sundays’. These mega blocks are vital for maintaining the local train network.

CENTRAL LINE Mega Block on Sunday 3 December

Central Line has announced Mega Block on Sunday 3 December for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works between Matunga to Mulund Up and Dn Fast Lines.

Time: 11:05 AM to 3:55 PM

During block period local services between Mumbai CSMT to Thane Fast line will be diverted to slow line. During this period local will halt at all stations between Matunga and Mulund. Local will run in their normal fast track after Matunga UP line and after Thane Down line.

HARBOUR LINE Mega Block on Sunday 3 December

Harbour Line has announced Mega Block on Sunday 3 December for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works between CSMT to Chunabhatti / Bandra Up and Dn Lines.

Time: 11:40 AM to 4:40 PM

During block period local services between Mumbai CSMT to Chunabhatti / Bandra Up and Dn Lines, CSMT to Vashi / Belapur / Panvel Up and Dn Lines, CSMT to Bandra / Goregaon Up and Dn local will remain suspended.

Special train services during block period

Special local trains will run on Panvel – Kurla section during the block period with gap of 20 minutes.

Western Railway Night Block at Vasai Road Yard

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of 3.30 hours will be taken from 00.00 hrs to 03.30 hrs at Vasai Road Yard including all Goods line during the intervening night of Friday & Saturday, i.e. on 01^st/02^nd December, 2023. Press Release..
