Vande Sadharan Train
The Vande Sadharan train, a new addition by the Indian Railways in 2023, offers an excellent travel choice for those looking for affordability and convenience. Unlike the pricier Vande Bharat Express train, this one is a non-AC, sleeper class train designed to cater to budget-conscious passengers.
In Short
The Vande Sadharan train boasts 22 coaches, making it capable of carrying up to 1,834 passengers.
Passengers can enjoy modern amenities, including bio-vacuum toilets, passenger information systems, and charging points.
The train’s distinctive appearance features orange strips and a grey color scheme.
Coach Arrangement
Vande Sadharan Train will consists of 22 coaches. Of its 22 coaches, there are 12 sleeper non-AC coaches, eight general coaches, and two luggage coaches.
It operates at a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
Affordability and Convenience
The Vande Sadharan train aims to make long-distance travel accessible to a wide range of passengers. It does not provide reclining seats, air conditioning, or entertainment systems like the Vande Bharat train, but it offers a more budget-friendly option.
Manufacture, Rollout & Trial
The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai brought this train to life at a cost of Rs 65 crore. It includes electric locomotives on both ends, ensuring efficient operations.
The first Vande Sadharan Express has arrived in Mumbai and will undergo trials at the Wadibunder railway yard in Mazgaon. It will also operate in the challenging terrain of the Igatpuri mountains on the Thal Ghat section of the Mumbai-Nashik line.
Why Choose Vande Sadharan
The primary focus behind launching the Vande Sadharan train is affordability. It’s designed to be a budget-friendly option for passengers.
In contrast, the Vande Bharat train is a bit pricier, making the Vande Sadharan an attractive choice for travelers looking to save on their journey.
In a nutshell, if you’re seeking a more economical way to travel and don’t mind the absence of luxuries like reclining seats, air conditioning, or entertainment, the Vande Sadharan train is tailor-made for you. It’s all about providing a comfortable yet budget-conscious option for your journeys.
Concept train-Vande Bharat
The Vande Bharat Express was initially introduced as a convenient short-distance train service, connecting major cities in India. Much like the Shatabdi Express, these trains are designed for day travel, making them ideal for journeys that can be completed within a single day.
